The web browser increases speeds by not loading web pages on the phone, but instead compressing and rendering them on a server, [1] similar to the operation of a thin client . The browser is available for a number of mobile platforms, [2] from low memory phones to high-end phones. [3] UCWeb Inc. (UCWeb) is a leading provider of mobile internet software technology and application services. Since its inception in 2004, UCWeb has stated its mission has been to provide better mobile internet experience to billions of users around the world. UC Browser, which is said to be the flagship product of UCWeb, is available on more than 3,000 different models of cell phones from over 200 cell phone manufacturers. In addition, UC Browser is said to be compatible with all mainstream operating systems such as Symbian variants, Android OS, iOS, Windows Mobile, Win CE, Java, MTK, and Blackberry.
